The foundation of BA45 is its hug-the-foot stretch canvas. Rather than holding the forefoot in a rigid shape, the fabric adapts closely to the dancer's foot, allowing the toes and metatarsals to articulate naturally while keeping excess material to a minimum.

Underneath, a durable suede forefoot pad protects the high-contact metatarsal area and creates a consistent working surface for turns. It gives dancers enough separation from the studio floor to reduce direct friction while preserving the close floor feedback that makes half soles so useful for contemporary work.

BA45 also uses carefully positioned side-seam construction to follow the natural contour of the foot. Combined with the stretch upper, this helps create the smooth, fitted appearance that gives BA45 its particularly streamlined character.
