An attractive navaratna Sterling Silver (92.5%) pendant with intricate craftsmanship and the Gandaberunda motif . A popular symbol of hindu mythology Gandaberunda is a two-headed bird, believed to possess immense magical strength and is capable of fighting the forces of destruction. Its heads resemble the eagle and tail is like that of a peacock.In continuous usage for 500 yrs as a royal emblem, it has a special place in the history of Karnataka- first seen on coins in Vijayanagar mints, it was the royal insignia of the  Wodeyar dynasty of Mysore and is the State symbol today.

This pendant is available in gold-dipped finish also on request.
